Benjamin and Vanda Treiser Maison Shalom is more than a residence, it is a home where full-time and part-time residents can enjoy their lives to the fullest while having all of their needs met.
Families of residents can rest easy knowing that their loved one’s needs are being fully taken care of by our dedicated caregivers.
Our staff, volunteers, and full-time and part-time residents and their families are what make Maison Shalom such a loving and warm home.
“What I like about the music and art programs at Maison Shalom. I love the Piano player who comes to play on Mondays because he plays interesting songs, and some of them I know and I sing along to. The art program I love to because I get to make all kinds of things. It's a lot of fun and I really am so thankful for every time they come.”
“My son has been living at Maison Shalom for 18 years. I never in my wildest dreams thought that my son and I could separate from each other and that he would be okay. But he is more than okay – he is thriving. All his needs are being met beautifully by the caring and devoted staff and I finally "have a life" as well. What would I have done without Treiser Maison Shalom?”
“Treiser Maison Shalom has been my daughter Leore’s best respite. She loves everyone, they take good care of her needs, and when she is not there, she misses everyone including the staff. Leore is always eager to come for Shabbat. Treiser Maison Shalom is there for me when I need them the most.”
“Maison Shalom is a home, not a residence, for people with special needs. The feeling in the home is that of a family. The residents and the staff all look after each other.”
“Maison Shalom has been providing us with peace of mind throughout the twenty-four years that our son Chaim has been living there. They have accommodated Chaim to enable him to continue practicing his religious observance while living in the group home. The staff work above the call of duty, are dedicated, and create a family-like atmosphere within the home. The residents are like true family members with each other.”
